Missive 11: Forget about It

Missive 11: 8 January 2019, Tuesday

Greetings from our family to yours and Welcome to another TrailMagick89 missive,

How have you all been this year? We have been getting more and more excited about our Bucket List. Which looking at those two words I have realized that y’all do not know what our Bucket List is; so it will be posted by the time this missive is posted on the tenth of this month.

Today I want you to know that you can do nearly anything you set your mind to do. There are a few things that people can not do ‘like becoming the new dictator of Latveria’ or ‘visiting Reed Richards at the Baxter Building in New York’; yes I know I just did a major Marvel Universe plug. Of course putting on the cape and the cowl is a possibility all you DC Universe fans. Yes, we like comic books. They are “Awesome Acorns” to quote Squirrel Girl. Okay the comic book plugs are over, maybe.

With any health conditions the challenges are out there to overcome and accomplishing anything on your Bucket List if they are a concern. As for Sweets and I they are something that we have to deal with and learning the proper way to deal with them is what a small part of our life is. Though beyond that they are not a concern.

The doctors say I have Epilepsy, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, Acute Psychosis, at any moment I can experience a Psychotic Break from reality due to Depersonalization-Derealization or is it Derealization-Depersonalization Syndrome. Either way the street name is Time Displacement Syndrome. Think of this as you continue reading; I have heard the dumbest question out there, and yes there is one (that is after having a seizure); “Well, what did you forget” (if I knew that I would not have forgotten what it was that I forgot)?

Memory loss from seizures is an experience I do not wish on anyone; first off, understanding what is happening to you is scary at best, second, other people believing it is happening is even scarier, and third, waiting for your memory to come back, which it may never actually or fully do is the worst. I know it has happened to me; I know there are still things I do not remember even from April of 2017 or due to any of the seizures since then. My average seizure count per week now a days is five to fifteen a week.

Think of 50 First Dates, mixed with the Time Traveler’s Wife, and throw in a little anti-hero attitude like Batman, the Hulk, or Wolverine and you have one of my Psychotic Breaks. Memory loss from such an event as a seizure from Epilepsy or P-NES can cause anyone to forget any amount of time for any period of time; along with forgetting everything that existed up to that point. During April of 2017 I forgot the previous ten years and forgot I was married or even that Sweets existed.

How do I deal with something like that? That is easy. We consciously; that is deliberately put guards into place that keep me with Sweets or someone she trusts with me twenty four hours a day seven days a week.

So, be prepared for all that life throws at you and enjoy your life. We embrace our life together as each moment is precious to us. And yes you have read it before we do our best to seek peace where ever we can find it. Each day is a new adventure. Where will your adventure take you today?

Two final thoughts. What is on your Bucket List? Have you checked anything off on your Bucket List?

Greetings from our family to yours and Welcome to a TrailMagick89 missive, We write these missives to bring awareness for those that live on the streets, under bridges, in abandoned buildings. In most countries it is called “Living Rough”. We cover the subject of life as part of the homeless community; where in some places they are called everything from the derogatory “bum” to the more accepted name of “community people”. We have lived on the streets of the big city and small towns alike. We have encountered people from all walks of life. We have backpacked long distances and followed the trail just to see where it would take us with no destination in mind. After ten years of living on the streets we have found that stories of life of a vagabond and a tramp (modern day nomads) have lessons to share. Our preferred mode of transportation is on our Terratrike Rover Tandem that we have named Max. We talk About Us; from living on the streets around the Eastern part of America to living in yet another small town. We talk about the Bible; the beliefs of the community people. We talk about Community; regardless of where we have lived we have encountered many people that are all part of community life. We talk about Food; just because we have lived under a tarp it didn’t mean we ate terrible food. We talk about Gear (backpacking, cycling, & camping); the equipment we use usually isn’t high cost though it is of a decent quality. We talk about Health; we share the stories of not only of our health but how you can help other community people. We talk about Other topics when it comes to everyday life. We talk about about PVC projects; PVC is such a great medium for projects that can help around the home or campsite. And we talk about our dream of opening a Tiny Home community. We like to share our life with others in hopes that our adventures and misadventures bring a smile and a laugh to you, our readers. We thank you, that you, have taken time out of your day to share yourself with us. We appreciate that you stuck around until the end.
