Health on the Trail

22 January 2019, Tuesday

Greetings from our family to yours and Welcome to another TrailMagick89 missive,

As you have already seen the doctors say I have Epilepsy, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, eight closed head injuries, Hereditary Peripheral Neuropathy, Depersonalization-Derealization Syndrome (it means I am susceptible to having Acute Amnesia from Psychotic Breaks), and I wear it all like a badge of honor. The doctors each say this is the way you will be so you need to take life easy. I say I am the way the Father made me. And I move forward.

I have been addressing Epilepsy and being out on the trail doing my thing to bust out the mileage. And by doing my thing. I have a dream that I share with Sweets and she shares with me. I want to create, produce, and sell very specific foods for being out on the trail.

Foods that are healthy with flavor. And, yes, I could make them right here at home and share the recipes with everyone. The thing is I will need field testing done to make sure that what we are producing actually fits the bill when it comes to what we are doing. Sitting on my duff at home testing power foods does not cut it.

We also would like to offer an opportunity for you to share with us your thoughts. Just because you may or may not have Epilepsy or something else that I listed, it does not mean that you do not have concerns regarding yourself getting out your front door. I want to share this one thought. If I can do it so can you.

I generally use two canes to walk around with, not always, but most of the time. I experience seizures with migraines. I hallucinate at times, mostly brought on by vertigo. That was something fun to learn. That when a person has Epilepsy brought on by closed head injuries they are fifty four percent more likely to have vertigo induced hallucinations.

Do you have a thought, please ask? Do you have a thought, make a statement?

So with Epilepsy I have three very broad, yet specific points that are part of everyday for Sweets and I. And they are; how does Epilepsy affect my spiritual life, my psychological life, and my physical life. So on February 12th and 26th, as well as March 12th and 26th I will be taking a hard look at what I need to do to prepare for a backpacking trip this Spring in regards to a disease that on a good day can not be seen.

We appreciate that you stuck around until the end. If, you have found any value in this post, make sure to hit the “Like” button and “Subscribe” to TrailMagick89 blog. Please feel free to share your thoughts below. And until next time; make sure to seek peace within your own life.
